France, 8 days, time and strike, Lyre form shelf clock with pendule a Paris movement with silk suspension, gilt bronze case ornamented in the Grecian style, the base with long horn, wreaths and bowknot, top of lyre with swans heads and central bust, gilt skeletonized dial with anthemion decoration and set with round enamel Arabic numeral cartouches, blued steel Breguet style hands, c1830
CONDITION:
Case is dusty, and with minor spotting, left rear foot replaced, swans with empty holes (held a floral swag, now missing), dial good, numeral 7 with a chip, hands painted black, movement ticks and strikes, needs service, pendulum missing, Despite the missing swag and pendulum, condition is overall pretty good, and will restore to a nice period piece.
